USA Taekwondo is offering a live feed to watch the WTF World Taekwondo Championship action as it happens. You will need microsoft silverlight, to be able to view the feed.

Video Review To Be Used at World Championships

The WTF is planning to use video instant replay at the World Championships this October. The video will be reviewed by an advisory made up of nine experts with high level competition experience. Some of these names include Herb Perez (US), Hadi Saei Bonehkohal (Iran), Pascal Gentil (France), all olympic medalists.

What has not yet been announced is how this will be implemented. Of course it will be used to resolve coach challenges, but will competition be stopped after every flurry that a coach thinks his player scored a point that was not counted? This is the same reason Major League Baseball has been hesitant to use video review. For this to be used successfully, video replay should be limited, along with coach challanges.

2009 World TaeKwonDo Championships

The 2009 World TaeKwonDo Championships will be held from October 14th to October 18th, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The World Taekwondo Federation has announced the electronic hogus will be used for this event. Online registration, and ticket purchasing is available at the 2009 World TaeKwonDo Championship website.
